When I saw 9800 in the title it brought back memories. But it sounds like the VRAM is bad. Allso - My CPU was overclocked from 2166 Mhz to 2.4ghz... I just got a new motherboard and processor (P4 2.8, Asus motherboard...) and finally got to use the 9800 Pro I bought months ago. For some reason i dont have the option of choosing ATI Radeon 9800 OpenGL Engine what could be the reason for this?

What voltage should the Radeon 9800 pro be running at?

based on my extremely high CPU temperatures, i'm trying to upgrade the stock fan on my p4. i doubt mine is a heat problem... No, create an account now. Dismiss Notice TechSpot Forums Forums TechSpot Core Graphics Cards Today's Posts Problem with ATI Radeon 9800pro?

That may allso have fixed the problem! I'd say I used to have a little better performnce in CS:S (prolly an average 70-90), but I think they broke it in all the patching they've done to the game.

PS. Guess what? All of these run fine on my 98SE/AMD 1.4/GF3Ti200/384SDRAM/SB Live Vale setup, albeit without any of the graphics running at maximum settings - it's just too slow for that. If it goes away then its the VRAM gone bad from overheating.
